One of my favorite places to visit in São Paulo, Brazil, is the aquarium. It doesn’t only take care of water animals, but also many mammals. For this self initiated project, I wanted to create an illustrated tri-fold flyers.

I began by conceptualizing the overall layout digitally. This stage involved experimenting with various compositions to find the perfect balance between text and illustration. The goal was to seamlessly integrate the vibrant fish and water animals with the unique Australian creatures, ensuring each element had its place without overshadowing the others.
Once I was satisfied with the digital layout, I printed the design with the text in place. This allowed me to sketch directly onto the printed text, giving me a clear idea of the space available for each illustration. This step was crucial in ensuring that the illustrations were appropriately sized and positioned.

The next step was to use gouache and color pencils!
After completing the paintings, I scanned the artwork to make digital adjustments. In Photoshop, I refined the typography and made final art adjustments to ensure everything was perfectly aligned and visually cohesive.
